Page Content Guidelines And Terms of Service


The purpose of the free website program is to give soccer teams and leagues the ability to create a place on the World Wide Web that provides information on their players, members, staff etc..

Within the guidelines stated below, we are committed to providing free websites for the soccer community. We encourage you to create your own free webiste to let the internet know about your teams progress throughout the soccer season. To us, this is the power of the internet. We appreciate your interest in and support of soccersite and the internet.

A Word On Advertising

soccersite is able to provide free website hosting space for you through advertising. All free websites will have advertising banners placed on their pages. If you would like to remove these banner ads from your pages, there is a $10/month charge for hosting your site with soccersite. Companies interested in advertising are encouraged to contact soccersite for more information.


Page Content Requirements

Each team or league may have one website. Businesses are not permitted to use this free service. No commercial activity is permitted to occur through this service. Businesses or individuals interested in conducting commercial activities should contact webmaster@soccersite.com for more information regarding our commercial services. Each teams.soccersite.com address allows that particular team or league to have 5 MB of disk space for their files.

soccersite is not responsible for the delivery of any goods or services sold or advertised through its sponsors or Commercial Home Pages. Furthermore, soccersite is not responsible for the content of any of the sites contained within teams.soccersite.com. The opinions and views expressed in these do not reflect those of soccersite. The contents of the pages are not reviewed in any way before they appear in soccersite.

We reserve the right to remove any page from the system which is brought to our attention and which we find, in our sole discretion, violates these page content guidelines, or otherwise is in violation of the law. soccersite does not actively monitor the content of teams.soccersite.com, but will investigate complaints of violation of these guidelines, and does randomly check content on sites. Please submit any such complaints using our Content Violation Form. soccersite is also not responsible for any loss of data resulting from our deletion of Personal Home Pages, network or system outages, file corruption or any other reasons.


Page Content Guidelines

soccersite has carefully developed the following page content guidelines to maintain standards consistent with the Internet community and the societies of the world at large. If you have any questions regarding these guidelines, please send email to webmaster@soccersite.com

soccersite does not discriminate based on sex, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender orientation, ethnicity, culture, religion or socio-economic status.

Please refrain from using your free website for the following activities:

  1. Displaying material containing nudity or pornographic material of any kind;
  2. Providing material that is grossly offensive to the online community, including blatant expressions of bigotry, prejudice, racism, hatred, or profanity;
  3. Promoting or providing instructional information about illegal activities, or promoting physical harm or injury against any group or individual;
  4. Defaming any person or group;
  5. Using your free Personal Home Pages for commercial purposes, including but not limited to the following:
    1. Offering for sale any products or services;
    2. Displaying a sponsorship banner of any kind, including those that are generated by banner or link exchange services or displaying banners for services that provide cash or cash-equivalent prizes to users in exchange for hyperlinks to their web site. This excludes the banners which we place on your pages.
    3. Promoting or soliciting for participation in multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes;
    4. Conducting raffles or contests.
  6. Displaying material that sexually exploits children under 18 years of age.
  7. Developing restricted or password-only access pages, or hidden pages or images (those not linked to from another accessible page).
  8. Using your page (or directory) as storage for remote loading or as a door or signpost to another homepage.
  9. Using your page for acts of copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property infringement, including but not limited to offering pirated computer programs or links to such programs, information used to circumvent manufacturer-installed copy-protect devices, including serial or registration numbers for software programs, or any type of cracker utilities (this also includes files which are solely intended for game emulation);
  10. Using multiple unsolicited e-mail (SPAM) or Usenet postings for the purpose of promoting your home page;
  11. Developing pages that consist of hyperlinks to content not allowed in soccersite;
  12. Having multiple free websites for the same team or league.
  13. Creating websites containg content not related to soccer.

Members who are in violation of these policies may be deleted and their pages, or portions of their pages, removed without warning.


Terms of Service

Account holders are solely responsible for everything contained in their websites. soccersite does not verify, endorse or otherwise vouch for the contents of any website or page contained within any website. Account holders can be held legally liable for the contents of their web pages, and may be held legally accountable if their website include, for example, material protected by copyright, trademark, patent or trade secret law without the permission of the author or owner or defamatory comments.

The account holder agrees to indemnify and hold harmless soccersite for any loss, liability, claim, damage, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or in connection with the contents of the account holder's website.

The account holder agrees not to access accounts not registered under their name without permission from the owner of the other account. Account holders also agree not to illegally access, modify, view, create or erase files on any soccersite or sitestar, Inc. server, workstation or computer.

In the event that soccersite receives a complaint that the contents of a website infringe intellectual property rights or otherwise is unlawful, soccersite shall request written substantiation of the complaint from the complaining party, for example, substantiation of proof of ownership in the form of a trademark, service mark, patent or copyright registration and will take such steps that it believes to be appropriate under the circumstances, including, for example:

  1. Suspend the site, or a portion of the site, immediately until the dispute is resolved;
  2. Provide the member with contact information for the complaining party;
  3. Instruct the member to contact the complaining party to resolve the dispute;
  4. Inform the complaining party of our actions and ask that party to work directly with the member;
    Note: All correspondence between the parties must also be sent to soccersite (address provided).
  5. Take the following action based on the progress of the dispute:
    1. If the member has not pursued resolution within 14 days of notification, the site, or portions of the site, will be deleted;
    2. If complaining party has not pursued resolution within 14 days of member's response, the site, or portions of the site, will be re-activated;
    3. If legal action is pending or the dispute is not settled, the site, or portions of the site, may remain suspended until resolution is reached and soccersite is notified by both parties as to the outcome;
    4. If a resolution is reached between the parties, the site, or portions of the site, will be reactivated with any mutually agreed upon modifications.

soccersite also reserves the following rights:

  1. If a copyright, trademark, patent, or other infringement is obvious (such as when pirated computer programs or information used to circumvent manufacturer-installed copy-protect devices, including serial or registration numbers for software programs or any type of cracker utility, is being distributed), soccersite also reserves the right, instead of following the above stated procedures, to delete all files and deactivate the violators account without any warning.
  2. To release current or past member information in the event soccersite believes that accounts are in violation of the terms of service or page content guidelines, used to commit unlawful acts, if the information is subpoenaed and/or if soccersite deems it necessary and/or appropriate;
  3. To deny accounts to offenders of these guidelines or terms of service;
  4. To amend or change these guidelines at any time and without notice;
  5. To use images of pages contained in account holder's websites for promotional and other commercial purposes.
